Yesterday at Chanel, each guest (so about 765,424,565 people seeing as we were filling the Grand Palais) found on their seats a Chanel lipstick goody bag. Inside, among other colors, were two beautiful reds.
The thing is, I don’t wear red anymore. What used to almost be a signature has become weird to me since I started making up my eyes. Now, each time I try it, I feel like it makes my lips tiny and gives me a weird face. And that, with my eye makeup, it’s way too much. Plus, everybody knows that you should choose between making up your eyes or your lips.
Yes, but I’ve become so addicted to my eye makeup I have a hard time going out without it. At the minimum, eye shadows and mascara.
I am wondering whether it is because with time your face changes, and that I’ll just never wear red again. Or is it because we have moments in our lives – and that one day I’ll throw my eye shadow out the window and will get my rouge on again (and the lipstick stains that go with it). What do you think ?
Either way, one thing I know is that not wearing it doesn’t prevent me from totally crushing when I see Laura Julie in this photo…
