Justine Monsul is the founder of Monfefo, a wellness beverage company that makes ginger and turmeric shots! Though the shots are delicious to drink with endless health benefits, a little known fact is that they also make the perfect addition to your beauty routine. We brought Justine by the studio to demo a few of her favorite ginger-heavy, home-made beauty recipes for us–including: a hair mask, a body scrub, and a face mask! Listen up below and let us know how yours go at home!
Ginger is known for its circulatory properties. It helps with blood flow–by putting it on your scalp, you’re stimulating your hair follicles and encouraging growth. Also, ginger contains fatty acids which can help strengthen hair strands!

One tbsp of raw honey
One slice of avocado

2. Rub into face, using circular motions with the pads of your fingers.
3. Let sit for 10-20 minutes.
4. Wash with water and follow up with your regular facial moisturizer.
Ginger contains antioxidants, which help reduce free radical damage. It has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for thousands of years with many health benefits, one of which is anti-aging! It is also known to help reduce face scarring and inflammation.
Continuing our conversation about ginger and circulation, it makes the perfect ingredient for a body scrub that can multi-function to smooth, soften, AND help reduce the appearance of cellulite. This recipe can last up to a week, so throw it into a mason jar and you can use it 2-3 times!
