A Beauty Minute with Caitlin Burke

We are huge fans of this stunner, Caitlin Burke. She’s known our art director, Richard, for years and we are so excited to bring her into the fold of the Doré family. You can check out her Three Looks here and read on for her beauty routine!

What is your morning beauty routine?
I usually shower first thing, and wash my face in there with either Dr. Lara Devgan’s face wash or Elemis cleansing balm, depending on how my skin is feeling. I wash my hair about every two or three days and let it air dry, I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to hair and rely on a lot of dry shampoo to carry me between washes! After the shower I use Dr. Lara Devgan’s Vitamin C Serum, usually with a drop or two of Tan Luxe mixed it to give me a bit of a bronze glow. From there I love Ilia tinted serum which is amazing (just check reviews!) and proceed with the rest of my makeup.

What products do you use throughout the day and why?
I don’t use too many products throughout the day, if I’m going out I’ll re-apply Dr. Lara Devgan’s platinum lip pump throughout the night for fuller lips, along with MAC lipstick in « All Fired Up » which is my go-to pinky red shade. I have very long hair right now, so I also usually have my Wet Brush with me to keep it tamed and not too tangled. If I’m at a wedding or somewhere I’m feeling more high-maintenance, I’ll sometimes carry Caudalie beauty elixir with me and spray it on my face throughout the night to maintain a fresh glow.

What is your evening beauty routine?
I wash my face again with one of the same two cleansers, followed a few nights a week with Dr. Lara Devgan’s Alpha Beta Hyrdroxy pads or Biologique Recherche p50 lotion to exfoliate. I also use Dr. Devgan’s eyelash serum and whatever rich moisturizer I have around, right now it’s Youth to The People’s Dream mask. I’m also taking Wellbel hair supplements right now, which I usually take before bed.

What is your definition of beauty?
Being comfortable in your own skin, being confident and grateful for what you have, and inner beauty that radiates outward.

When do you feel most beautiful?
Right after I workout. I feel strong and healthy and grateful for the ability to move.
