What is your morning beauty routine? What products do you use regularly for your hair, skin and body?
Splashing my face with cold water is the first thing I do in the morning, followed by a few drops of argan oil, then I layer on face cream that varies from La Mer to Sisley to Doctor Hauschka.
What make-up do you typically wear on a daily basis? Do you keep specific products in your bag to use throughout the day? A perfume or chapstick?
Not much …. A bit of brown eye liner, even less mascara and lipstick. Since the mood changes and the colors are not always following the moods, I like to mix different lipsticks. Chapsticks in every handbag!
What is your night time beauty routine?
Klorane “eau de Bleuet” water make-up remover is fantastic! I use the same creams as I do for the day, but their night version and in the winter when it gets very cold I like Re-nutriv by Estee Lauder.
How do you define beauty?
Harmony and proportion are important factors. But I think charm is even more important and made of the delicate balance of sensibility and wit combined with beauty.
How has your approach to beauty and your routine changed as you’ve aged?
Aging gracefully – or at least trying to – is a sentence I totally agree with. Continuity in your health routine has the most successful results I think, better every day a simple routine then great resolutions that don’t last long. Also looking good for one’s age and not trying desperately to look 20 years younger because it does not work!
My approach has always been quite similar, the exercise routine has changed and gone for differents reasons from running to biking to rubber bands and little weights while drinking coffee and reading e-mails in the morning …but it still works.
