A Street Style with Hanh Merriman

1 month ago by

Sometimes you just want a little drama in your wardrobe, which is why we love HANH, designed by Hanh Merriman. It brings a theatrical yet wearable element to your wardrobe. Read on to learn more about Hanh and her intentions behind the brand.

How would you describe your style in three words?

Bold, unexpected, deliberate.

What is the most treasured piece in your wardrobe for sentimental reasons?

A purse from my mother that is 60 years old – it was my mom’s favorite item and I loved it so much I asked her to pass it down to me. I’ve had it ever since.

What do you predict will be the most worn piece of clothing in your wardrobe this coming winter?

The Xuan jacket & Camilla pant in the nylon kumquat print. It’s so seasonless and special in the fabrication.

Where do you take inspiration from when designing for HAHN?

I often take inspiration from my travels, allowing myself to soak in new cultures, landscapes, cuisines, and architecture. My senses are most alive when I’m exploring and I allow my curiosity to run freely. But at the same time, I love to cook for my family at home and find the color of a specific fruit, or the shape of a vegetable leaf equally mesmerizing.

What do you hope to see more in the fashion world moving forward?

Being more considerate about what we produce along with having more philanthropic efforts will be a way to push the industry forward.
