The Art of Life 2.0

Do you remember last year when we went to Monaco with Le Méridien for Au Soleil? Well we’re back with Art of Life 2.0 film series. This time, we are taking you to London. Le Méridien Piccadilly is located in the heart of London (and in the heart of where I love to go shopping when I am in London, ahem, Dover Street Market!!!). We wanted to show you how we like to “summer in a city.”

Tie-Dye: What’s Old is New Again… and Again

In the spirit of “growing up,” we tasked Christina with taking a favorite clothing item of ours from childhood and styling it in an elevated and mature way–tie-dye!

To accompany the editorial, we enlisted our good friend, Amelia, to share her thoughts on the resurgence of the tie-dye trend. In her ever-witty way, she dives into its history, providing context for our adult infatuation with this seemingly adolescent design.

Studio Visit / Foundrae + Bode

At the studio, we love to support emerging designers. Amid the commercialism and monotony that seem to be dominating the New York fashion scene, there are some exciting and innovative brands that are forging their own paths and inspiring us. When we stumble across one of them, we jump right on it. That’s why we were thrilled to have the opportunity to cover some of the nominees for the CFDA’s Emerging Designer of the Year award, Foundrae and Bode (Bode took home the honor at last night’s awards ceremony!). Both brands, and their respective founders, have a distinct voice and a unique point of view. In anticipation of the awards ceremony, we caught up with both of them to talk about inspiration and the industry right now.
