Last Tuesday, I had the chance to visit Isabel Marant during fittings – which is when the models come by the studio to get fitted in the clothes they’ll wear in the show…
I’d already seen a few photos of her studio (studio of my dreams!) but I’ve never seen it at work, functioning with the team and models. It’s interesting to see how it all comes together; the models trying everything on, the shoes which are still only prototypes, all the discussions about how to make sure the show is spot on, everything that gets decided, taken out, put back in, and adjusted.
I tried to be as discreet as possible, but the atmosphere was really easy – all the girls in the studio are cool and stylish. Even three days out from the show, it didn’t surprise me at all that Isabel Marant is the brand that makes little girls dream… and big girls go crazy :)
