Happy New Year from all of us here at the studio!!! We hope you had an amazing holiday – we’re all back here and it’s officially winter (we’re serious this time, there’s snow forecast for NY next week)! So where better to kick things off than with one of our favorites: parkas.
Ahhh, parkas! We know G is a coat freak and happens to have some amazing variations. But the parka is something that feels like such a classic winter staple, fit for both men and women, that every season it sort of has a rebirth. For me, it’s all about the original: the military green cold-weather coat, and making it feminine this year!
There is something so smart about seeing a woman in a flowing skirt and real winter boots. A cold breath of fresh air, yeah, that girl gets it! She’s found the line between staying warm and looking like a lady, something hard to achieve in the arctic months ahead. Or anytime of the year, really. (Perhaps that’s just me??)
But there’s a lady in all of us, and the beautiful Chiara is here is to help me prove it – because she pulls it off, all while wearing fishnet stockings with hiking boots! You can be the country girl in the city wearing an ankle-skimming floral skirt and fur lined parka or you can keep things a bit tough, by pairing an oversized (but pleated!) parka from Off-White with a sleek, all-white look under… Oh, and some serious calf hair boots!
The choice is yours! How will you stay warm this winter??
