Erik and I love getting the incredible opportunity to travel for work, so we were verrrrrry excited about visiting New Orleans, Louisiana! Maybe it was for the possibility of eating round-the-clock beignets, but there is also so much happening in the Big Easy right now.
So we decided to share with you one of the coolest additions to the city: Krewe du Optic’s first flagship shop right in the heart of the city — the French Quarter! The brand’s name invokes the spirit of its origins, Krewe (Kru), historically meaning a group that comes together to parade in celebration. The new shop isn’t limited to their sunnies either — they’re the first concept shop in the Quarter, selling candles, handmade pottery and, of course, a nook in the back where a cute coffee barista will serve you up an espresso!
It’s nice to visit a city and feel so welcomed, it’s a destination worth revisiting — not only for their kindness but also the countless food and music spots we couldn’t make it too!
