A Street Style with Jamie Ciello Tuazon

1 year ago by

How would you describe your style in three words?

Easy, functional and comfortable.

What is your ideal outfit or uniform?

Leather blazer, vintage t-shirt and straight leg jeans or a trouser.

What is currently influencing your style?

The need to feel comfortable. Comfort looks different for everyone. But regardless of the fact that I’m working from home I always put on a pair of jeans or trousers to start the day.

Most treasured piece in your wardrobe?

Does jewelry count? My grandmothers bracelet, which I never take off, or my patent leather chunky Prada brogues.

A trend you regret participating in?

If we’re talking past trends then colored contacts and blonde hair. I guess when you’re younger you go through phases where you try so hard to be different.

A little more about Jamie

When most kids were just learning how to properly brush their teeth I was also learning how to take care of my skin. As a child I often watched my grandmother’s beauty routine, she would cleanse with cold cream and follow with a generous amount of oil on her face. I enjoyed those dedicated moments we had to ourselves, which ultimately led to my love for beauty. I’m currently the director of product and product innovation and development at Malin+Goetz and lucky to be working across multiple disciplines from skincare to candles. My day to day changes constantly from, reviewing lab submissions, negotiating costs, to concepting product briefs. Every project is individual and each step is equally important. It’s a process, there’s no saying, 10, 20, 30 modifications is going to get us where we want. You just really feel when it’s done.

Oh, and yes… we are posting a beauty minute with Jamie soon!
