On a very rainy Tuesday this week, we met up with Dree at her home here in New York, before we hopped across town to see the Coach show. With her blonde hair and laid-back approach to keeping her look natural (no foundation!), she’s the epitome of the cool girl you might have guessed her to be – especially in a suit fit for the heroine in a John Wayne flick . Or one better, likely that oddly chic female character with a secret in a Wes Anderson film.
And that’s just the girl Stuart Vevers has created for Coach, two years after taking the reins, he’s revamped an American classic into a brand every girl wants to wear again. Those coats! Tough and indispensable in an East Coast winter. There’s a sly British nod since Vevers takeover too, mini skirts and mod square-toed boots – but always with a hint of bohemian / rock n’ roll details (think studs, metallic boots, kitschy floral prints and leather – lots of leather!).
Its just the pieces we want to be wearing right now, and in fact, might have to head over to the store this weekend !
