Style Story / Louise Edgley

The jeans du jour at Doré are SLVRLAKE. They are hands down the perfect jean. So when we discovered that the co-founder is equally fantastic, we had to introduce her to you. Meet Louise Edgley!

How would you describe your style in three words?
Timeless, relaxed and easy.

What is your daily uniform?
I have built up a core wardrobe of hardworking staples which centers around my favorite denim paired with a relaxed tee or shirt. I tend to switch things up by adding a great jacket and accessories. I’m often on the go so comfort is key, I look to natural fabrics that feel luxurious and get even better with wear.

What spurred your to found SLVLRLAKE?
I had been searching endlessly for the perfect vintage jeans and couldn’t find authentic vintage washes the high quality of fit and fabrics that I was looking for in the premium denim space so I decided to create it.

The very first Jean which launched SLVRLAKE was the our signature London high rise straight in a luxuriously soft pure cotton fabric, which fits and flatters the body and elongates the legs. *chefs kiss!

What is your favorite pair of jeans you own?
It’s impossible to choose just one, but three jeans I can’t live with out are our new Sophie mid rise straight, Roxy mid rise slim and London which can also be worn a couple of sizes up for a look which is more ‘borrowed from the boys’.

Who do you look at for inspiration when designing?
I am most inspired by moments in time, I frequently turn to a period that is nostalgic to me. I have always been inspired by the natural easy and quiet power of 90s minimalism.

Please tell us who made that couch!

  • I just want to help the person who inquired about the couch.
Is a Camaleonda by Mario Bellini (either original by B&B ITALIA or a lookalike by Eternity Modern).
