We are back in Paris with the effortless Chloé Harrouche of Loulou Studio. And dare we say no one has ever explained the secrets behind French style better than Chloé. Read on for all the secrets!

How would you describe your style in three words?
Timeless, comfortable, elevated.

What is the secret to French dressing?
The secret to French dressing resides in simplicity, quality and comfort. Looking put together hinges on quality staples, because you can never go wrong with beautifully made, perfectly tailored pieces in great fabrics, that fit you well. Being comfortable plays a significant part in the way a woman carries herself, too. It always shines through when a woman feels like her most comfortable and confident self.

Who or what do you look to for inspiration when designing for Loulou Studio?
I’m inspired by the women around me, whether I know them personally or not. Qualities they all have in common: they’re bold, daring, strong, with big personalities. The latest Loulou Studio collection was heavily inspired by trailblazers and icons like Simone Veil, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Catherine de Medicis, Lee Radziwill, Lady Diana…

What is the most sentimental piece of clothing in your wardrobe?
An off-white, YSL coat that feels very Belle de Jour. It used to belong to my grandmother and I have memories of her wearing it, of how lovely she looked. Now, I feel like she’s with me when I wear it.
