Aenea is the new epigenetics-focused skincare brand on the scene. If you’re unfamiliar with the term “epigenetics,” allow me to explain. Much of the way in which we age is pre-determined by our DNA, before our skin has even seen the atmosphere outside the womb. But, beyond DNA, there are external factors that visually effect how we age. The term epigenetics literally translates to, “on top of genetics,” meaning, all of the external factors that come in contact with our bodies to alter the course of aging’s effects. Things such as: air pollution, stress, nutrition, technology, and alcohol…you know what that means for Aenea? You can have those drinks on Saturday night and not have to worry about waking up with breakouts Sunday morning. A revolution, am I right?!

Aenea Founder, Damien Zannetou was inspired to begin his skincare company after witnessing his mother struggle to find clean beauty products that didn’t cause further damage to her sensitive skin.

Aenea’s line of hero products is specifically designed to combat each one of these epigenetic concerns. From the Anti-Stress Super Hero, to the Anti-Pollution Guardian, the Lifestyle Enhancer, and the Modern Shield, each product serves to better prepare your skin in the fight against damaging daily elements, both unavoidable and those we chose to partake in. ;)

And the products work. After trying the Fruit Acid Gel Exfoliator, the Corrective Oxygen Mask, and the Modern Shield, I noticed a visible change in the smoothness of my skin. Blackheads appeared clearer and redness reduced.

So, I say to you: have that extra drink, don’t fret about the gross Subway air, or that extra hour of sleep you lost. No longer do the effects have to be visible on your skin.

Plus, I mean, how cool is this packaging??
