Hourglass Foundation Stick

Finding the perfect foundation has been quite the journey for me. I feel like we’ve all been there, countlessly browsing the internet and reading review after review, all to try to find THE ONE. In my case, some days I have oily skin and others I have dry skin, so it has been a bit of a pain because I do have some requirements on hand that it must meet. It has to be matte, non drying, medium to full coverage, no harsh ingredients or chemicals, and it has to look nice on my top shelf. I’m not asking for too much, right?

Well, surprise! I wasn’t! The award for “Basically Perfect Foundation” goes to the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation, and for good reason. This product has around 210K loves on Sephora and it’s a certified bestseller. It’s a stick foundation with strictly vegan ingredients, so expect creamy goodness that’s also safe for even the most sensitive skin.

The formula is literally how it’s named: seamless. It just glides so smoothly on your face. I should give a warning though…a little goes a long way. And I’m not just saying that. The pigment is real, containing double the amount of normal foundations. I know, insane!

The great thing is that it’s so versatile. Because it comes in a stick form, you can use different shades for different purposes. You can get a lighter color to conceal dark circles or a darker color to bronze/contour. It’s super compact and very easy to travel with (yay for no spills). It’s not completely matte, so you might want to powder a bit, but if you’re into the dewy finish, skip the powder all together and live your best glowing life.

For everyday, I find the best way to use it is with a damp sponge. That way you get a natural finish that still looks like skin (but better). For night time or for days when you need all the love, use a flat brush in circular motions to really pack on the coverage.

So basically, it ticks off all of my requirements, right down to the packaging. I happily smile every time I see this foundation on my shelf, especially knowing my skin will be looking all kinds of flawless.
