Lekha’s Summer Dress

Lekha’s Summer Dress

If you can’t already tell, summer style really throws me for a loop. I’m suuuch a jeans + sweater girl. As soon as it heats up (and boy, it has!!), I become a lost puppy, spending the rest of the summer searching for any glimmer of my personal style.

So, when I stumbled upon this little white dress, I thought: aaah, this could be a key piece that my summer wardrobe is missing!!

It’s easy. It’s comfy. It looks chic with a bunch of different shoes (I wore it with chelsea boots last week, but also plan to wear it with Birkenstocks, slides, Converse, etc.). It doesn’t require anything else.

AND, it’s from a new brand called Lekha. Trishala Bhansali designs the line and operates the company out of her New Orleans studio. And she works alongside female artisans in rural India who hand-craft the pieces.

Trishala explains, “By supporting Lekha, you empower women with financial stability, and ultimately, independence.”

A perfect summer dress AND a social mission? We’re here for it. Catch me traipsing around in this bad boy everywhere from the office to the beach for the next several months.

Check out the rest of Lekha’s collection here and follow them on Instagram here!
