Oribe Serene Scalp Shampoo

As noted in this questionnaire, my wardrobe is currently afraid of color. I used to live in LA and wore every color under the rainbow, but the old adage is true, black is the color of New York (and now my heart?!). It could be worse, as Tori and I were just talking about how everyone looks better in a black turtleneck, including ourselves. They are the backbone of our wardrobes. The problem with this new backbone of my wardrobe is that my scalp is a dry flakey mess. I would like to add “in winter” to that statement to make myself feel better about it but that would be a lie. I’m a card carrying member of the dandruff club 12 months out of the year. It’s very sexy.

I’m already a fan of Oribe, they can do no wrong in my book, so when I saw they had an anti-dandruff shampoo I yelped and leapt at the bottle and almost poured it on my dry hair right then and there. Luckily I was able to contain myself till I got home that night and poured it on my wet hair.

Oh. My. God.

I’m in love. Not only did it stop my dandruff after ONE WASH, it soothed my scalp and somehow also left my hair looking great (I find dandruff shampoos typically do wonders for the scalp but destroy your hair). They even have a leave in treatment that provides instant relief if I want to use something between washes to keep the flakes at bay.

The pink packaging is the cherry on top. Seeing these little bottles all lined up on my bathroom tile makes the morning routine a hair easier.*

*I usually don’t pun, I swear! But I couldn’t help myself there!
