Along with my post about Birkenstocks this morning, I HAD to show you this extract from the wonderful TV show Portlandia…
Nothing more to say, just watch it :)
Hahahahhahhaaaa……. Oh Garance you made my day!
So incredible funny and a very good parody about fashion today.
That’s it! It’s OVER! :))
oscar wilde said that fashion is such an ugly thing it needs changing every 6 months :))
Hahaha. So funny! Thanks for sharing. That’s how I feel most times. A proprietary instinct over objects/activities that make you individual/cool. But always, after a while – it’s over. Haha
Fashion is fashion is fashion is fashion. Just like roses.
Fashion is not over, just relative. Fashion dies every season and gets reborn the next, is what Chanel said. I think whats over is the people who follow every trend.
Seriously, I loved that. I think it’s good to have a sense of humor about these things.
NEW POST http://www.19rivoli.com
Excellent Garance !!! J’adore te lire. xxx
If you love Portlandia you should really come visit us in the Pacific Northwest! Portland and Seattle really are like that :)
Haha! Pas mal ! La mode, la mode :)
Oh my God, that s so funny. ca resume bien ton article sur les Birkenstock, HAHAHAHAHA
ROTFL yup it’s a never ending cycle.
Too funny. My belly is aching :)
nice video! love it!
oh my god I seriously just watched this episode last week. brilliant. shell art!!
Great show. Welcome to the club Garance! It is absolutely fab!! I went to Portland this summer and at the airport bought a wine glass that has a bird on it … and it says “put a bird on it”. Kinda ridiculous. But every once in a while fun to bring out and use with friends!
Hilarious! Growing up in Portland going to school in Eugene, I wouldn’t have been caught dead in Birkenstocks. But now living in Los Angeles and working for a movie studio, I live in them (best way to cross a big lot).
hahahhaha Cool video!!!
I loovvveee Portlandia! And your Website!!!!
LOVE Portlandia and this sequence was one of my favorites along with the crazy dog people at the outdoor cafe freaking out about finding it’s owner… SO hilarious!! Perfect follow-up after the Birkenstocks post.
I am mostly going to give this love because I live in Portland and I know several of every type of person depicted in this segment. Giant gauges? They’re OVER!
Lol!!! I remember watching this last summer. Have you seen the Harajuku girls at the coffee shop yet? That one is my absolute favorite!!!! p.s. My grandmother had to wear Birkenstocks after she broke her hip — being the fashion lady that she was, she bought pretty much every pattern they offered — and she wore them with socks. I guess I could see if they work, but I will have to steer clear of any pastels to avoid looking like Memere. :)
Genial. Merci merci merci!!!!
Je sens qu’on va l’entendre souvent celle-là: “it’s over!”
Ps: connais tu Girls ? Geraldine en parle sur son blog, c’est moins decalé, mais tout aussi drole. Deux tres bonnes séries !
This is one of my husband and my favorite Portlandia sketches – so Portland, so funny, so real! This is just another reason why you and Scott should come to Portland! I love love your blog – you have amazing talents and sweet personality – thank you for sharing with us every day!
Jajaja jajaja esta genial!!!, me encanto!!!
Je viens de tomber sur ça: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jU01jBw9HB4
