Save My Jeans!

Save My Jeans!

From a budding crude! Oil that is…

Recently, while attending the theatre (yes, okay, it was just the movies!) – I took my new blue jeans for a test drive. I ordered a small popcorn to really indulge my independent weekend activity. But, as I realized all too late, as I placed said popcorn ever so gently on my leg for JUST a moment, to my horror, two small blotches of oil appeared on jeans. Shame, shame, shame…

So, I consulted my mother. Her two suggestions:

1. Dawn dish soap works best – put a good coating on and rub in with fingers, then wash in warm water.
2. Embroider something. (A hippie at heart)

Low and behold the dish detergent worked! A real jean saver, especially since my embroidery skills aren’t what they used to be. Moms: they always know the answer, don’t they?
