Let's Talk About

The Impossible

The Impossible

This is the impossible haircut, made possible.

When I was backstage at Opening Ceremony this season, I spotted Isabella (so cute!). She has the haircut that almost no one can pull off (“bowl haircut with an undercut”). It’s a little punk but on her it’s so feminine. And, against all better judgment, it makes me want to do something completely radical with my hair (shave just one half off?)(go for something futuristic, asymmetrical…?).

But, you know what? Sometimes you just have to know that something might not suit you.
(Neon latex pants, peacock feathers… The list goes on…)

And then, occasionally, you might be that one person who suits it (cough, Isabella).

Is there a beauty look you’ve always wanted to try but you just know it’s impossible?
Or, anyone taken the plunge and it’s been a good thing (or a terrible thing!)?

That’s the haircut I have now and I LOVE it. I rock it, and I get constant compliments on it.

Sadly, though, to answer the question, the beauty look I would love to try but I know is impossible is… lip injections… I hate my nonexistent, thin lips…

  • Lip injections…Do it! They are great if done by an expert. Go little by little, its the best non-makeup you will ever get (wink)

I am very happy with mine, been doing it for 5 years now.

  • I stupidly though the Karlie Kloss bob would work on me. It was actually more Mireille Matthieu like. And when I tried to mess it up, the tips would turn out, and I would look like Anne Roumannof. Needless to say, it was a beautiful day to stay inside forever.

  • Coincidentally I had this haircut done yesterday! I had an asymmetrical cut already and my hairdresser was trying to get me to shave one side of my head! Woke up this morning and felt like I looked like a teen boy but once I put some make up on I felt a bit more feminine. On the plus side, is it took me 5mins to dry and style! :-)

  • The thing is, with a face like hers, it matters not what she decides to do with her hair. It is why Sinead O’Connor used to look good bald.

  • I love Garance’s hair style but positive that will not work for me.

I got bangs last year after many many years of saying I would never to that…and I absolutely love them!

  • Anne Catherine Frey (a truly intriguing subject blog) has had a similar one for many years – so gamin and cute. however – youth and petite build are a must or you look too butch.

  • I have always thought that women who have short hair and yet can still ooze femininity are the epitome of sexy (and chic!). I have a nose that’s….erm….a little on the stronger side, but never-the-less, I recently went for the super-short pixie. I love it. I rock it. It’s all about attitude, mes amis!

  • Have long hair way below my shoulders towards my waits used to be my dream . I had it once and I jut do not look good with long hair, I have very short hair in back and longish in front up to my chin (kind of like Garance’s old look but a bit different) and that length suits me much more. I do wish I could pull off long hair, that way I could just always pull it back in cute ponytails or braid it etc.
