A twist on the classic hoop earring, I love this variation which seems equally as minimal but somehow more sculptural in design, with it’s hoop flat to the ear (rather than looping through the piercing).
When Garance talked about short hair being prime time to go for bolder earring options, she wasn’t kidding. Since I made the chop, I’ve been on a journey of exploration and experimentation of the earring kind ;)
And it led me to Soko, an online jewelry marketplace. The simpler design options like this I think are pretty damn chic — but the best part is that they’re all ethically made, with a seriously positive statement to make.
Basically, all of the goods sold through Soko are made by artisans of the developing world, and almost always using natural and/or recycled materials. So it’s a winning trifecta! Pretty on ears, positive for these jewelry crafters, and great for the environment!
And the proceeds of this particular pair go towards building schools in Ghana. I’m sold!
