Let's Talk About

Thrive

Thrive

In August, Arianna Huffington announced she was leaving the Huffington Post to build her new project, Thrive. The website dedicated to wellness and living a balanced life has become my go-to, not only for information, but for an escape, for inspiration.

Because I’m a big believer that in those moments when you feel like you’re a little behind in your personal life, a little behind at work, and overall, not living a balanced life – online creative platforms can be a great escape. Sometimes you need a moment to completely stop what you’re doing and rethink your actions and goals. Yes, I’ve always been told moving, exercise, activity is the best way to clear your mind, but the online world can be just as effective. A moment to read someone else’s thoughts, opinions, or learn about what moves them, can generate inspiration and excitement back into your life.

  • I completely agree! It’s nice to escape and read a blog that’s made for creatives. That’s why I started blogging! Daily routines can sometimes leave me feeling underwhelmed and this certainly helps.

  • Exactly! Not being one who came out of age during social media, I was a long-held skeptic of online communities but not anymore. Finding others who share like experiences, thoughts and feelings helped with confidence in self-expression. And inspirations to look at new possibilities! Garance’s blog set me on course!! Looking forward to 2017! xoxo

  • You have a good point. I never thought of balance being achieved online. I always like reading blogs that are positive and provide a different perspective on life. I always leave feeling good and wanting to read more. Those are gems.
Thanks for writing thing short but sweet post.
